Krul: 'Norwich City kwalitatief niet goed genoeg'

NORWICH (ANP) Doelman Tim Krul (32) staat op het punt te degraderen met Norwich City uit de Premier League. "Soms moet je eerlijk zijn", zegt hij. "We vechten iedere dag, maar kwalitatief is het niet altijd goed genoeg. Dat is de moeilijke les die we moeten leren." Krul verloor dinsdagavond ook met zijn ploeg van Watford: 2-1. De achterstand op de 'veilige' zeventiende plaats op de ranglijst is opgelopen tot tien punten. Norwich City heeft nog maar vier competitieduels te gaan. "Het is hetzelfde verhaal waar we het hele seizoen over praten", analyseerde Krul. "We hebben weer grote fouten gemaakt. We moeten allemaal in de spiegel kijken. Het is gewoon niet goed genoeg als je vijf keer op rij verliest." Krul heeft nog een twee jarig contract bij Norwich.
